2022 Year In Review

James Clear inspired me to begin writing these yearly recaps about my personal progress on my self-growth journey last year. His book, Atomic Habits, inspired me to begin documenting my successes and failures publicly (to a certain extent). I found tremendous personal value in doing this last year and I will continue to do this, in one way or another, for the rest of my life.

Here are the questions I will focus on:

Did I achieve My 2022 goals? (1-10 Scale)

What are my 2023 habits/goals?

What am I most proud of this year?

What am I most proud of this year?

Easy. I got my pup on December 24, 2021, and raised her from just a little loaf of bread at 7 weeks young - 1-year-old in 2022. I’m extremely proud of all the learning experiences, patience, and good times we had this year.

#1 Thing I Want To Improve This Year:

Improve goal & habit setting techniques from a macro POV to a micro POV to make a tangible, day-by-day system to follow with consistency all year long. For example, instead of creating a macro goal of “Getting Better Sleep,” I would specify micro goals like:

Get Better Sleep. How Will I Do It?

  • Try To Be In Bed Before 10pm Monday-Friday

  • No Caffeine after 2pm

  • No Eating 3 hours before bed

  • No Social Media in bed
