2018 Clark County Fair - Digital Campaign

Celebrating 150 years.png

The 2018 Clark County Fair was a 10-Day Fair that included 4 sold-out concerts (Gary Allan, Pat Benatar, Grand Funk Railroad, Granger Smith), a rodeo, a parade, 5 Motorsport Events (Tuff Trucks 2x, Demo Derby, Monster Trucks, MotoCross), a carnival, agricultural exhibits, 4-H Events, contests, and much more. Approximately 280,000 attendees walked through our gates for our 150th Anniversary.

Below is a presentation with analytics from our 2018 Clark County Fair Digital Marketing Campaign. This includes sponsorship fulfillment, digital advertising, SEO improvements, budget allocation, social media engagement, and much more.

Below are entries I put together to be entered into:

  • WSFA (Washington State Fairs Association) conference in Vancouver, Washington.

  • IAFE (International Association of Fairs and Expositions) conference in San Antonio in 2018.

The Marketing Director and I worked directly with our internal department (Designer, Media Buyer, Photographer, and others) to execute our campaign. If you have any questions, please contact me for further information.

Promoting our “Party Center Summer Concert Series” was vital to the overall success of the Clark County Fair. Major emphasis was put on digital media to get the community excited about our four major concerts. We heightened our digital media budget (by over 350%) and re-shaped the entire program to better reach our goals. Improvements included implementation of analytics across our digital space, taking advantage of search engine advertising and SEO work, increasing engagement and reach of major Facebook campaigns, adding appropriate elements of our traditional campaign on digital, and using cross-promotional sponsorship across our digital avenues. We sold out our reserve seats for all four concerts and saw a heightened improvement in pre-sale tickets as well. This program was a huge success and we plan on further increasing the digital advertising spend for 2019.
