Give someone a reason to use your page.

A moat is a reason someone would still choose your page after a competitor copied its basic information. It might come from your own records, a tool that helps someone decide, or the care you take to keep an answer current.

In this course, you give your AI tool a report and source material. It compares the evidence and proposes options. You check its claims and choose what the page should do.

What supports the answer, and who checks it?

Your draft + a layout sketch + the next check

The workbook brings those choices into a map you can download, with first-screen copy, a layout sketch and a check date. It saves your work in this browser so you can return to it.

The page says one entrance.
The venue says another.

Harbor Field Notes is a fictional events publication. Its editor needs to help visitors arrive prepared. You get the page extracts, venue notices and search data, along with an AI prompt.

Choose a page change, draft the answer and explain how you would check it. A later source update gives you a reason to revisit the draft. The worked example is there to compare with your own reasoning.

Watch a source check. This silent illustration follows a claim back to the supplied venue notice. All names and evidence are fictional.
Read the text version

The existing directions page names West Gate on Dock Street. The venue notice names East Gate on Mill Lane. Both carry the same check date, so the date alone cannot settle the conflict. Read the notice: its East Gate instruction applies during the works, until the notice is withdrawn. Keep that condition beside the instruction.

Try the Harbor practice

Work through the decisions behind the page.

Use a report you are allowed to share, or start with the fictional practice data. Each module includes an explanation, a prompt for your AI tool and space to keep your decision.

Before you start

What do I need?

Bring an AI tool that can read the supplied text, and a page you can edit or sketch. AI access is separate from this course and may have its own costs. The fictional Harbor packet lets you practice without sharing your own reports.

Is this for beginners?

You should be comfortable opening a website report and editing page copy. Start with the free traffic-report lesson for a smaller exercise before the full workbook.

Where does my work go?

The workbook saves answers and progress in this browser. Use “Save a copy” to keep a backup or move to another device. Harbor practice notes need a download before you reload. Your answers are not sent to analytics, and session replay is off in both activities. Read the privacy details.

What does early access mean?

The course is available now while its teaching and exercises are still being refined. It does not include a certificate, personal coaching or a promise of search results.

Free during early access. Planned launch price: $39. This course has never been sold at the planned price. No launch date is set.

Start with the reader’s question and the evidence you have.

Ask Bella

Ask Bella Hayden's corgi, who answers from this site and cites every fact.

BELLA

WOOF. I'm Bella, Hayden's corgi. He's my human. Ask me about him; every answer cites its source.

Reading this page? The top button is my short version of it.

How it works: the answers are written ahead from this site's pages, and anything else gets a search of the site that shows you its exact words. Every claim has a numbered source you can tap. Nothing is generated while you wait, nothing is made up, and nothing you type leaves your browser. Every answer, in plain HTML
